English burr walnut writing desk with tooled leather top c.1870

This beautiful English writing desk was crafted during the Victorian period c.1870.

Made from warm burr walnut, this desk has character and a wonderful patina. It features wonderfully carved twin pedestal legs with a turned stretcher base, resting on castors for ease of movement.

The top is inlaid with a burgundy tooled leather insert with bright gilt key work to the edges and a decorative motif to the centre. The table top itself comes in a unique shaped design of flowing curves for added interest.

A lovely centre piece for an office or bedroom.
