Burr walnut inlaid chess table on carved pedestal base c.1880

A lovely antique chess table crafted in England circa 1880.

Made predominantly from burr walnut, this chess table displays an elegant profile with its carved pedestal base. The shaped table top adds interest, as do the beautifully inlaid timbers which form the chess board.

The pedestal has been beautifully turned, and rests on a tripod base with scrolled feet which has been wonderfully carved with much detail.

One for all lovers of chess or use it as a beautiful drinks/side table.
