Superb 19th century German Aladdin’s student lamp c.1895

This superbly crafted student lamp would make a stunning addition to the discerning collector.

Beautifully cast and of top quality, this lamp is heavy, and is reminiscent of an “Aladdin’s lamp”. Even though it  has a carry handle, it would not have been made to move around – rather it would have sat gracefully on the desk of a well heeled student or professional.

The column and body of the lamp have been shaped beautifully and meet the original green glass shade and chimney.

The maker of this wonderful German lamp was Wild and Wessel, Berlin c.1895.
