This is a fantastic cedar bookcase for all lovers of early Australian antiques.
Crafted circa 1840, this antique bookcase certainly has some late Georgian influence and strikes a commanding figure. It features two original glass doors to the upper section, with a simple but elegant design. They open to reveal 4 shelves for displaying books or other decorative items.
The lower cupboards have a high waisted base, and also house ample storage space, including a slide out shelf. They are decorated on the outer with understated half turned decorative finials and small corbels to the sides.
The patina of this Australian cedar is absoloutely stunning, making this a wonderful addition to your office or library.
