Introducing this stunning rare writing slope with cubic inlays from the 19th century.
Crafted in England circa 1835, this slope is made predominantly from coromandel, and features cubic inlays to the top of the slope made from different timbers such as mahogany, satinwood, rosewood, walnut, elm, oak, plum pudding mahogany and more! There are further string inlays to the edges of the box. The craftmanship is superb!
The box opens to reveal the writing slope which is felt lined and includes two ink wells.
Pieces like this simply don’t come along that often.
