$2,950.00
This wonderful armoire was crafted in France circa 1890.
Made of sumptuous rosewood, it has been converted from an armoire to a display cabinet featuring shaped doors with beveled glass. The interior has 3 glass shelves and one lined bottom shelf. It has also had the later addition of lighting installed to enhance your personal treasures within.
What is really wonderful about this piece is the exquisite craftsmanship and quality of the carvings and woodwork throughout. It has quarter veneered and crossbanded side panels, and beautifully moulded trims, all resting on short cabriole legs. The piece’s real crowning glory is the carved cartouche at the top, which is a quintessential embellishment for many pieces from the Louis XV era.
Use this in a bedroom as a wonderful display for handbags, jewellery, and shoes, or in a living area to show off special porcelain, glassware, books, or other treasures.
This can be delivered to Melbourne for $300. Contact us for a shipping quote if you are further afield.
