English oak 2 door 3 drawer kitchen dresser with string inlays c.1820

This wonderful early 19th century kitchen dresser is perfect for the country home, a cafe, winery, or provincial interior.

Crafted from authentic English oak, this is a lovely example due to its quality, age, and design. The lower section of the dresser has three drawers and 2 doors, all with ample storage. The remaining 3 central drawers are a false front, but are fab for adding symmetry to the piece. They give plenty of depth and storage options to the inner compartment.

Design wise, the dresser has lovely string inlays on all drawer and door fronts. This is quite unusual but speaks for the quality and craftsmanship of the piece. Knobs are turned brass, with two of them not original but well matched. It is flanked by wonderfully turned supports with upper and lower gadrooned detailing, and the piece rests on bracket feet which were quite fashionable in the Georgian era.

The upper section includes shaped sides, and three shelves perfect for displaying plates, cookware, and other kitchenware or decorative items. A moulded trim completes the top.

A sensational and impressive kitchen dresser from the Georgian period, that the owner will certainly not be disappointed with.
