French walnut pedestal desk with tooled leather top c.1870

This beautiful French pedestal desk is a fabulous quality piece, perfect for the office or library.

Crafted from walnut and finished with a rich, dark, French polish, this was crafted circa 1870. The desk has three central upper drawers and an antique green tooled leather top with gold key work to the edges.

The cupboards either side have fully fitted interiors containing 3 drawers each, bringing the total number of drawers to nine – loads of storage! Further features are original brass escutcheons and keys, beautifully carved paneling, and the ability to have the desk in the centre of the room due to it being finished on both sides.
