This stunning mid 19th century tea caddy was crafted in England circa 1850.
Made from beautiful amboyna wood, this tea caddy has a sarcophagus top and very fine inlays to the edges. The grain of the amboyna is just lovely and full of character. There are decorative brass ring pulls on either side which give a grand finish to this antique box. The escutcheon is ivory.
When opened, the box reveals 2 half width sections with their own lids, for storing your tea (or other treasured items nowadays)!
