Bendigo Art Gallery

Bendigo Art Gallery is one of the oldest and largest regional galleries in Australia, established in 1887. Bendigo Art Gallery's collection is extensive, with an emphasis on 19th century European art and Australian art from the 1800's, alongside a strong collection of contemporary Australian art. The collection includes painting, sculpture, ceramics, decorative arts, photography, works on paper, and Australian art. This site showcases highlights from our collection.

Wine Bank on View

Wine Bank on View is a wine bar & wine merchant, operating from a heritage listed bank building in Central Bendigo. The Victorian era building was constructed in 1876, and was once the home of the Union Bank and the Bank of Australasia & New Zealand (ANZ).

Bendigo Ernest Hotel

The Bendigo Ernest Hotel is housed in the oldest bank in Bendigo. Erected in 1864, the historic space belonged to the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney and retains its original features including its underground cellar and bank vault. The building’s walls hold tales of bygone wealth and woe, with a bullet hole on the ground floor said to hail from the gold rush days.

Miss Batterham’s

Set in the basement of the old school hall at MacKenzie Quarters, and converted into a sophisticated, yet unpretentious, lounge bar.
